Description: (Random) An armor layer designed not as much for toughness as to reduce the energy signature of a vessel. Ships equipped with stealth armor are somewhat more fragile than other ships but can escape long range detection much more easily. Ideal for raiding vessels.

Required Technology: (Reflective Coating OR Improved Reflective Coating) AND (Sub-Space Spy Beam OR Sensor Jammer OR Quantum Chaff) OR (Starting Tech for Morrigi)
Races Allowed: Hiver, Human, Liir, Morrigi, Tarka, Zuul
Effect: Decrease enemy detection range on the Strategic Map. Must be applied to all three ship sections to work.
Notes: Extremely expensive - Increases the cost of a ship section it is added to by +250%. While there are no direct links to this technology from the Sub-Space Spy Beam, Sensor Jammer or Quantum Chaff techs, one of these three must be researched before Stealth Armor becomes available for research. In A Murder of Crows, this technology is also available at the start for the Morrigi race. With that expansion, they also only add 50% to cost.
