O rly? --Agent 20:50, 9 January 2006 (EST)

I'm not too comfortable with your glib guide to slavery. --Admin 22:40, 9 January 2006 (EST)

I removed most of it out of respect for your authority, but just because you arn't comfortable with the topic does not mean it should never be discussed (note how they still teach about the holocaust in schools, even though it isn't a friendly topic) --Agent 01:10, 10 January 2006 (EST)

  • I never said change it or remove it, I just said I wasn't comfortable with it. If I wanted it changed I would have done it myself. This isn't about my "authority" this is about respect for others. Yes, touchy subjects are discussed in school, but in a controlled and respectful manner. This is a website about a computer game and your comments could easily be taken out of context. --Admin 08:55, 10 January 2006 (EST)
    • Yes, a computer game where an entire race's backstory involves them being an enslaved, and escapeing that. --Agent 13:30, 10 January 2006 (EST)
      • BUT Tssha had to go and draw a direct correlation between that fictional account and a very real event that caused much real pain and suffering. Then you chimed in on that conversation until Mecron and Arinn shut it down. That's why I'm uncomfortable, but let me reiterate I'm not censoring or editing you. You do what you want and if people dont like it they will change it. I'm concerned about the direction of the conversation on the forum and it spilling over onto this site with your general and glib reference to slavery that did not reference the game directly.
      • This game is fantasy world with dramatic and mature themes like slavery and genocide and I don't have a problem with discussion about that in the context of the game. But the instant one person makes any kind of correlation between the game and real world pain and suffering, then everything goes out the window and people start reading between the lines on everything that's said. I want to avoid that if at all possible and focus on the game. --Admin 13:42, 10 January 2006 (EST)
        • Which is why I felt that everyone would be comfortable with it being reduced to the single PC line it is at now, can we consider the topic closed? --Agent 23:31, 10 January 2006 (EST)
          • Yes. --Admin 00:26, 11 January 2006 (EST)
